The Journey of Deliverance Church International Riruta
Founded in Faith
Deliverance Church International Riruta was established in 1982 as part of the larger Deliverance Church movement in Kenya. What began as a small prayer group meeting in a home has grown into a vibrant congregation of believers passionate about serving God and the community.
Through faith, perseverance, and the grace of God, our church has expanded not only in numbers but also in its impact on the community. Today, we stand as a beacon of hope and transformation in Riruta and beyond.
Our Journey Through the Years
1982: A Small Beginning
The church started as a small prayer fellowship in a member's home with just 15 people gathering weekly for prayer and Bible study.
1985: First Church Building
With growing numbers, the congregation acquired a small property and constructed our first church building, seating 100 people. The first official service was held on Easter Sunday.
1992: Community Growth
Our church began various community outreach programs, including a feeding program for children and elderly, as well as establishing our first three ministry departments.
2000: Expansion and Growth
The church purchased our current property on Macharia Road and began construction on a larger sanctuary to accommodate the growing congregation of over 500 members.
2010: Community Impact
Established our community center, offering educational support, vocational training, and counseling services to the Riruta community. Launched our first satellite campus.
Today: A Thriving Ministry
Today, Deliverance Church International Riruta has grown to a congregation of over 2,000 members, with multiple services, thriving ministries, and continued community impact. We continue to expand our reach through digital platforms and partnerships.
